Roll-to-roll dry coating process for high energy density Li-ion Batteries
- 講師：Prof. Ungyu Paik (Hanyang University)
- 要旨：Roll-to-roll dry coating process, which is a practical approach for mass-production of high-thick electrode, enables the acheivement of high energy density and low cost LIBs. The dry electrode with a high areal capacity of 10 mAh cm−2 and low resistance can be achieved by following three characteristics; 1) enhancement of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) binder fibrillization for robust mechanical property, 2) uniform pore size/distribution and conducting network, and 3) maintenance of structural integrity of LiNi0.80Co0.15Al0.05O2 (NCA) particles. The prepared dry electrode with homogeneous microstructure shows reduced ionic resistances due to the short diffusion lengths, improving electrochemical performances in LIBs.
